Sorry for the poor camera quality, my youngest brother broke my tripod meaning I had to use my phone.

This was a Christmas present this year, it’s a 6.5″ Scalloped Santoku knife from the Shun Kaji range. Here are some quick specs:

– Mirror polished, pattern damascus cladding
– Core formed from SG-2 powder steel, approx. HRC 64-65
– Ebony Pakkawood handle
– Full tang construction
– Hand made in Seki City, Japan
– RRP is roughly £235 or in America 3

I’ll no doubt add some more videos showing this knife in action once I fix my tripod.

The next ones should be of far better quality, this was a bit of a rush job.

Shun Sora 7 Inch Santoku Knife — Review and Information.

http://goo.gl/7853La– Insane Discount on the Shun Sora 7″ Santoku Knife.

This is a video where I show off the Shun Sora 7″ Santoku Knife and explain its features.

Essentially, the Shun Sora is the “budget conscious” Shun line¬— it is meant to be an entry level set for those who don’t want to invest too much.

Amazingly enough, however, it still uses VG-10 Steel (~61 Hardness) sharpened to a 16 degree angle like the Classic and Premier lines! It also has a stainless steel layer wrapped and welded around it that gives a gorgeous “wave” design to the blade as well as makes it extremely resilient to stains, rust, and pitting.

Like all Shun knives, it comes with free sharpening… that alone makes it a solid pick if you’re choosing between multiple brands.

If you want an entry level knife that is still “high end”… the Sora line is your best choice.

It’s a very quick video of the knife, just to give you an idea of what it looks like and what it is all about. Check out the video and let me know if you have any other questions.

NOTE: I’ll be making quick videos showing all of the different knives and comparing the various lines of Shun to not only other brands, but each other as well!

[Review] Farberware Commercial 7 inch Santoku knife

I am reviewing the 7 inch Santaku forged triple riveted knife from Farberware. Great knife and cheap. 10 to 12 bucks at Walmart. Great quality knife and will be perfect for home use. I recommend hand washing, but you can wash in dishwasher.

When it comes to clean eating, food preparation is half the battle. Having these basic knife skills in your back pocket will save you tons of time in the kitchen and make cooking all your healthy recipes quick and easy.
